ProviderFront coverage

What ProviderFront monitors, how often records update, and which gaps or caveats users should expect.

Current planned coverage

ProviderFront is designed for United States NPPES Type 1 individual and Type 2 organization records, including legal and other names, reported taxonomies, business practice locations, enumeration and official update dates, deactivation/reactivation, and ProviderFront observation history.

Update cadence

Weekly incremental ingestion supports routine changes, with monthly full-file reconciliation to catch drift. Every record shows the date it was last confirmed against its source.

Coverage is not verification

A covered record can still be outdated, incomplete, corrected later, or unsuitable for an inference. State licensure, credentialing, ownership, quality, services, and patient availability are outside the default NPPES-derived coverage.

Where records appear

Provider and organization profiles are published only after field-level privacy review. Specialty and location pages are built where there are enough source-backed records to support real analysis. Everything else stays available through search.
